The variety of indoor violets boggles our imagination, because this is the most popular house plant. Its bright buds fascinate with their flowering, and I want this beauty to never disappear.

I have violets blooming all year round. My house is always decorated with these flowers because I know certain details of care. For two months a year, these plants can reduce the number of peduncles.

Usually, this falls on the summer period, when the temperature in the apartment is above + 21 degrees. The rest of the time, these fascinating plants delight my family with beautiful inflorescences.

In my practice, there are several basic rules that contribute to the constant flowering of violets:

Correct selection of pot and soil

Compliance with the watering regime and timely feeding

Sufficient illumination and moderate warmth

A large pot is not suitable for this plant, since the roots of the flower will begin to grow strongly and all the forces of the violet will go to them, and flowering will be in last place.

When purchasing a soil mixture, you need to remember that the earth should be not only fertile, but also loose, so that air and water can easily pass to the roots.

I buy a potting soil containing garden soil, charcoal, perlite and sphagnum moss. Usually, all these components are included in a special soil for Saintpaulias. Be sure to put drainage at the bottom of the pot, and then pour the earth.

Watering the violet is necessary only from the pallet. If moistening is done directly into the pot, then try to do it carefully so as not to get on the leaves of the plant. From this comes rotting, which leads to the disease of Saintpaulia.

I use liquid mineral fertilizers to get the violet bloom in the form of a hat. Once, I took the advice of an experienced grower and applied banana peel as a fertilizer for the flower.

Its composition is rich in potassium and manganese, which has a positive effect on the formation of buds. To do this, I insisted banana peel for several days under a battery in 1 liter of water. The result pleased me.

Any fertilizers should not be applied more than 1 time a month, since their overkill leads to yellowing of the foliage and its fall. Despite the love of light, the violet does not tolerate direct rays on foliage.

Windows facing north or west are well suited for her. If the apartment windows face the other way, then for the Saintpaulias you can arrange diffused light by arranging light curtains or a mosquito net over them.

These plants love warmth and absolutely cannot stand drafts. If it is cold or hot on the windowsill, it can lead to decreased flowering and illness of your pet.

In cloudy weather, I turn on a phytolamp for my favorite flowers, which gives violets the necessary and favorable light.

The formation of a beautiful rosette occurs by uniform illumination of all areas, so the flower must be periodically rotated.
