I insulated my log house with penoplex. Will the timber now rot?

When I insulated my log house with penoplex (100 mm) I had a fear and skepticism that the timber would rot, etc., yes, I read these very articles on the Internet.

And I'll tell you they are not unfounded, but... there are a lot of "buts". I was building a house from a barrack bar (second raw material), which caked and dried in the structure for 50 years, or even more.

The timber is beautiful on the cut, clean, the wood is light yellow, so I had no complaints about its quality. So, the house was insulated with EPPS from the outside, facing was made of silicate brick in one layer.

The problem with the promised condensation and rotting wood was solved simply, from the inside the timber was covered with liquid glass twice, so that a vapor-tight film has formed, plus it is also fire-retardant, and liquid glass, among others, has such properties, and from above, so that probably put a vapor barrier film, naturally with gluing all the seams with original "tape", the house is equipped with ventilation with air recovery.

Many can say they ruined the natural beauty of the timber, and then I will remind you: what the beauty of the barracks second. timber you can talk (well, you understand), - GVL finishing = clean, white and even walls. I have been living for two years, every year I open the sheets of EPS on the conditionally control section of the wall, which is not completely lined with brick, the timber is dry, and for some reason I am not surprising. Everything was calculated.

They may ask the question, why then a timber, which could not be built from bricks at once? Alas, it was winter, I didn’t want to freeze the construction site, but with a bar, you know, you can work at minus 30. Yes, and a second one costs half as much as a fresh one, and it has absolutely no hemorrhoids with shrinkage and shrinkage. In general, the construction practice showed that I was right.

The house turned out to be surprisingly very warm and economical in terms of heating. But the "fresh" timber, I would not recommend it to insulate, I generally believe that the measures for insulation timber, even with mineral wool insulation, it is categorically impossible to produce until complete shrinkage and shrinkage timber.
