Therefore, sooner or later, the question of installing an interior door arises before each owner.

Everyone solves it differently.

Someone pays about 2,000 rubles for installing one door to a professional craftsman.

And someone wanting to save money or try your hand, hI'm thinking about self-installation.

The desire is of course good. But it is better to start installation knowing the features and the correct sequence of stages of work.

They will be discussed below.

Stage 1: Assembling the door frame.

It is convenient to make measurements of the door frame by expanding its component parts (two side pillars, lintel and threshold) around the door leaf. The canvas is laid on a flat floor surface.

After removing the dimensions, you need to cut the side posts and lintels at an angle of 45 degrees using a miter box or a miter saw.

Then again on the floor, you need to lay out the planks in a box and connect them perpendicular to the cut using self-tapping screws.

So that in the process of fixing the screws do not split the strips of the box, it is desirable pre-drill holes with a diameter slightly smaller than the self-tapping screw itself.

Stage 2: Installation of hinges.

To install the hinges, measure the box on the side rack by 20 cm top and bottom, and at this level fix the hinges with self-tapping screws.

Stage 3: Installation of the door frame.

The main thing at this stage is to expose the box strictly vertical.

It is necessary to fix the door frame in the opening with wedges, leaving a gap of about 1 cm between the box and the opening.

Then you need to screw the hinges on the door and hang it.

Stage 4: Filling the gap with polyurethane foam.

To prevent the foam from squeezing out the box, it is necessary between the frame and the door leaf along the perimeter insert cardboard thick 2-3 mm every 15-20 cm.

Then fill the gap between the opening and the box with polyurethane foam.

It will be possible to open the door after the foam dries, but no earlier than 3 hours. Then it remains to mount the platbands and the handle.
