Room across the width of everything 220 cm, but another 5 cm on each side were taken away from the ceiling plinths, so only 210 cm of the cornice was left from the standard 250 cm.
Preparing the cornice
Sawed off the excess with a hacksaw for metal and made markings on the side that is pressed against the ceiling. I put the first marks on both sides at a distance of 15 cm from the squares, then 2 more marks every 60 cm.
Next, it was necessary to drill holes forAbive nails with dowels 6x40 mm. Used a 6 mm metal drill. Although I drilled from the outside, it is better to do it from the inside. So clearly visible are the two rails for the hooks, the holes between which should be in the middle.
IMPORTANT! If the hole is displaced to the edge, then there is a possibility that the hooks when the curtains or tulle move will cling to the heads of the fasteners and get stuck.
Ceiling
Although I did not use the brackets, I took into account their departure from the wall and installed the cornice at about the same distance. They are 14 cm long, so he pushed the cornice at such a distance and marked the ceiling with a pencil through the drilled holes.
Next, a puncher with a garbage bag joined the case and quickly gnawed through 4 holes. Then he inserted all the dowels from the inside into the holes on the cornice and brought them into the holes on the ceiling. I tightened the dowel-nails with a screwdriver. After putting on the hooks, I put the plugs on the ends.
IMPORTANT! If the cornice is equipped with plugs, it is better not to tighten the extreme fasteners to the end at first, otherwise, due to the cornice tightly pressed to the ceiling, the plugs cannot be inserted.
This installation method is good, provided that the ceiling is flat enough and there are no large gaps between the plinth and its plane. With crooked slabs, the gaps are very striking and spoil all the beauty.
If the ceiling is uneven, it is better to use not a rigid metal cornice, but a plastic one, which will better repeat the profile of the ceiling and leave a much less noticeable gap.
