How to fertilize the Decembrist in October-November, so that in winter it blooms luxuriously. I share my experience
In order for the Decembrist to bloom profusely in winter, it should be well fed. What should be added to the plant pot in October-November?
What to do with the Decembrist during the rest period
In autumn, the Decembrist is dormant for 6-8 weeks, it accumulates strength for future flowering. During the dormant period, it is necessary to create the necessary temperature regime for the flower culture within + 12- + 14 degrees.
In the fall, the Decembrist can be safely taken out to the glazed loggia. He loves fresh and humid air. If possible, create partial shade for the plant. Watering should be reduced or stopped altogether. But you can spray the leaves with cool water, moistening them from a spray bottle every 14 days.
How to feed
To stimulate luxurious flowering, you can use a pharmacy agent, namely boric acid in powder form. You will need 1 gram (on the tip of a knife) for 1 liter of chlorine-free water. The powder must be diluted in hot water so that it dissolves well, and then bring the solution to the required volume.
Then it is necessary to process the plant from a sprayer. After 2 weeks, feeding with boric acid must be repeated.
Boric acid increases the immunity of flower culture, increases the number of buds in a huge amount, stimulates metabolic processes.
Ash and universal liquid dressings
A good fertilizer for the Decembrist is ash (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water), as well as universal liquid feed for cacti and flower crops (doses should be indicated on the package).
Citrus
Any citrus peel should be cut into pieces and covered with boiling water in a ratio of 1 to 3. The mixture should be infused for 24 hours.
The liquid should then be drained and diluted with water in a 1 to 2 ratio. Water the plants with the prepared solution.
