This can be done in different ways. But I want to tell you about the method that I personally liked. It does not require much effort, but the result is obvious. I have already managed to get several new orchids, which are already blooming themselves and delight me.

After the orchid faded, I was sorry to part with the flower stalk. Then I found out that it can be used to propagate a plant, and I really liked this method.

So, you need to start propagating the orchid when it has almost faded. And, of course, any such thing will be the most successful if the timing is right.

Like any plant, the orchid will grow and thrive better in springtime.

The process of reproduction of an orchid using a peduncle

1. You need to take a sharp secateurs and carefully cut the peduncle. Of course, the peduncle that no longer has flowers.

2. Further, the peduncle just needs to be divided into several parts with a secateurs. But we divide so that there is at least one kidney on each site. It is from her that we should expect the appearance of a new baby.

3. For the bud to wake up, you need to increase the humidity within the plant. To this end, I begin to moisturize the plant with a small spray bottle. In this case, the water should be warm.

Another way that helps me is a tray of water, which I put next to the peduncle. This promotes natural hydration.

4. You also need to monitor the temperature in the room, the ideal temperature for the kidney to awaken is 26 degrees.

5. Another important condition is diffused light.

6. You also need to fertilize the peduncle. For this purpose, I use a fertilizer containing nitrogen.
