Why do Geranium leaves curl and how can plants help? The simplest way that really helps

Geranium is considered a rather unpretentious plant, so you can find it in the house of almost every grower. But this plant is also not without problems.

And the most common problem is leaf curling. I would like to share the way I managed to save my geranium. Now I always do this, and the geranium on my window pleases me with beautiful, healthy leaves and lush bright flowers.

First, of course, you need to inspect your geranium and establish the reason why the leaves began to curl. After all, this can happen for various reasons.

Why did the geranium leaves curl?

· If the pot is chosen incorrectly, the plant is cramped in it, or vice versa, the pot is too large and the plant is intensively growing the root system. In this case, you just need to change the pot to a new one that is suitable in size.

· Incorrectly selected lighting. There is either not enough light or too much direct sunlight, which negatively affects the plant. In this case, move your beauty to the window on the south side and make a little shading that will save you from direct sunlight.

· Watering is either too infrequent or too frequent. Water as needed when the clod dries out.

· The air in the room is too dry. Install a humidifier.

· Geranium pests have appeared. Treat with drugs.

· Too carried away with fertilizers. Stop feeding for a while.

These are common reasons because of which you can often observe the curling of the leaves on your favorite plant. In accordance with them, measures must be taken.

But the fact is that I did everything right, but for some reason the leaves continued to curl. As it turned out, the problem lay in the quality of the water with which I watered the plant.

After all, I watered with ordinary tap water. And it's no secret that such water has an increased content of impurities, including chlorine.

So my problem is solved very easily. I set aside tap water for several days before I start sprinkling it on the geranium. And in order to soften the water, I add a few drops of lemon juice for every liter of water.

You can, by the way, use citric acid. After I began to water the plant with such water, I completely got rid of the problem of twisting leaves on geraniums.
