DIY honey house: how a couple of young photographers turned into construction workers
“We decided to make the foundation pit ourselves. We will agree on the rest with the brigade, ”Julia wrote on our forum (nickname on the frantova forum), and it began. The plan was to build a Blueberry House, with a black as night façade, and certainly not by ourselves, to hire a crew.
Spun, spun ...
But - they made the foundation pit themselves and "sucked in", I wanted to make the USHP ourselves, then the walls, then the roof... As a result, everything in this house, except for windows and ventilation, was made by the hands of Yulia and her husband Misha, and not nearly builders, on the contrary - photographers.
First we bought a plot at the edge of the forest. Julia studied the sketch, drew the facade, sketched the layout and gave everything to the designer found on the FORUMHOUSE exchange, "cool and understands all the bends."
The house was invented spacious and at the same time laconic, ready for both the creative privacy of the owners and the reception of crowds of guests, with a large living room kitchen 60 meters long. In general, in compliance with all the trends of modern housing construction.
Implementation of the idea
There was no savings for the construction site, they decided to earn at each stage by hard work - and then they combined "a lot of work at the construction site" and "a lot of work at work." It's worth trying for a dream!
It was not even in my thoughts to do the USP, but, firstly, it was delayed, and secondly, it was clear that it would have to hire builders on credit. As a result, we did everything ourselves: knitted fittings, laid communications. The only thing: they attracted a specialist with a concrete pump, but after him a large difference in the height of the USP had to be corrected with a zero floor.
The walls were raised by themselves, inventing lifting devices on the go. When they separated the facade with planken, they realized that they could not hide such beauty under black paint. So the blueberry house became honey.
It was scary to make seam roofing: preparation is needed for such complex metalwork. But the forum works wonders: people helped with advice, came to consult, suggested where it is better to order material. Here is such a friendly family on our forum!
Yulia and Misha had to train on a skate model for a long time until it turned out perfect. Now the house is ready, and it has become a home for their tiny daughter. Hurrah!
