Why are fences built facing the neighbors?
More than once I paid attention to the fact that many land plot owners build fences and enclose their properties according to the principle of "facing a neighbor". I understand when this front side is looking at the road. But why give all the beauty to the neighbors if you build a fence at your own expense and on your own? We are talking mainly about a fence made of a professional sheet:
View from the inside of the fence from the profiled sheet. Although such a fence is the most durable. Built - and forgotten for a couple of decades. There are many examples when the front part is located towards the neighbors in our village. It was for those who built the fence themselves, but facing a neighbor. And not only from the professional sheet.
I did not ask them directly why they did this, but I guess about their logic. For them, a fence is a protection against entering the site. It will be easy to climb and climb over the jumpers (if they are outside), along the pipes. When the sheets are screwed on from the outside, it is more difficult to do this.
Even expensive fences made of concrete segments are mounted facing the neighbors:
And here I do not understand why the beauty was given to the neighboring plot, although the neighbor did not take part in the construction.
It seems that the neighbors will try to get to them. I also built one side of the fence from a profiled sheet (from the second side, another neighbor builds himself). But I knew that sooner or later someone from this side would appear (an actively building owner) and there was no point in defending against penetration. I made the front side to myself:
On the side of the forest, I made a PVC-coated mesh fence:
It blends in with the landscape, rather than hiding a beautiful view like a solid fence.
Go ahead. You know what solid fences look like with brick posts and powerful concrete tape on the inside of the site:
Such examples are common. Although, a side fence on the border with a neighbor can be built with the front part towards you:
At one time, I thought for a long time how to beat this and found the solution in only one thing - a double-sided fence made of metal picket fence:
A picket fence in a checkerboard pattern. No wind load. And in this version, the fence looks the same: what's outside, what's inside. Yes, at the price a metal picket fence is more expensive than a professional sheet and it is longer and more difficult to mount it. You need to pull the mooring thread along the level. Measure with a bar the same distance between the elements. Minus in one - the fence turned out not in the same color scheme.
If someone will build a fence from a board, then consider the option of installing in a checkerboard pattern:
Same view from both sides. You need more boards and will have to cover the boards with wood impregnation on both sides. But it's worth it. The view is completely different. By the way, I wrote here how to make an impregnation for wood yourself:Wood impregnation recipes. Manufacturing cost - from 20 rubles / liter
What other reasons do you think are there to build a fence with a front part to neighboring areas?
