Why not every household juicer will find a place in the home kitchen
I was tired of struggling with a press and a feed cutter to get juice, so I decided to improve the process and buy a juicer.
My selection criteria
Choosing a household juicer, I immediately discarded the imported options designed to produce small portions of juice. After all, I need a machine that can handle 100 kg of fruit in one go.
Therefore, I opted for the "SVShPP-302" model, which stands for "SokoVyzhimalka-Shredder of Increased Performance".
Juicer Features
In addition to squeezing juice, this machine is designed to perform two more operations, shredding and chopping vegetables and fruits. For this, it is equipped with additional quick-detachable inserts and attachments:
1. A disc with special knives: on one side - for shredding, on the other - for chopping.
2. A disc with fine teeth, which grind the fruit into a puree, so that later to extract juice from it.
3. A lid with a large opening and a large pusher. Used for shredding.
4. A cover with a cake removal mechanism, a middle hole and a corresponding pusher. Used to make juice.
5. Tray with a spout for directing juice.
6. Tray with wide mouth for collecting chopped fruits.
7. Sieve for centrifugal juice extraction.
8. Ring with blades.
9. Various fasteners.
In addition, the juicer has a soft cable that reels under the bottom and feet with shock absorbers.
Impressions from the first job
I used the juicer 1-2 times a year, during the "apple" season. The first two times everything was fine. The machine ran silently when idling. Performance was also normal. I was a little frightened by the vibration that arose abruptly when the puree sticks to the sieve. But it was extinguished by ejection of the cake using a lever.
I have not been involved in shredding and chopping vegetables, so I cannot say anything intelligible about these processes.
Disappointment
Already for the third season, vibration appeared in the juicer, which intensified every year. It could not be eliminated by inserting a rubber mat or by turning some of the axial removable parts by 180º.
I had to build stops on the cutting table so that the juicer would not "run away".
Also, the juicer is not suitable for working with soft fruits (for example, pears), as too much pulp is formed, which is not easily squeezed out, that is, a low juice yield.
Conclusion
The third season was disappointed, which gets worse every year as the vibration increases.
The juicer is not suitable for large production volumes (I squeeze from 30 to 50 liters of apple juice per season). It is also not suitable for daily use (morning glass of fresh juice), as it is very large and takes a lot of time to rinse the components after work.
Regarding chopping vegetables and shredding - I can not say anything.
