During the Soviet era, hand-held generators (dynamos) were produced for charging batteries of radio stations:

This is a manual generator PZU-5M. It gave out voltage up to 18 V and output power up to 10 W when rotating the handle with a frequency of no more than 70 rpm. Basically, they used to charge the 10NKP12S type battery for the R-350, R-354, R-394KM radio stations. As you can see, the manual generator has a military design (it was also in green). If you use a voltage regulator, it can also charge modern gadgets.

During the Great Patriotic War, the USA, as an ally of the USSR, supplied the V-100-B radio station with manual generators, as the "soldier-motor" EICOR 4515-1 was called. When rotating at 50 rpm, it gave out voltages of 3.6 V (current up to 6 A) and 250 V (current up to 40 mA). There was another American GN-45-B generator. At a rotation speed of 60 rpm, it produced a voltage of 6 V (current up to 3 A) and 500 V (current up to 140 mA). Produced since 1942.

In the later Soviet era, flashlights with a dynamo were produced, which were nicknamed "bugs" because of the sound they make during operation:

Now Chinese manufacturers produce similar generators for their army:

For the convenience of the "soldier-motor", a bench is provided on which you can rotate the handles with your feet (while sitting or even lying). Power: 65-100 W. Cost - 124 thousand. rub.

On aliexpress there are also ones with a lower power - also in a military version, (30 W with a regulator from 1 to 28 V). The cost in terms of rubles - from 10 thousand. Link for example: http://got.by/5bj2tq

What is all this information for? Imagine the situation, you are waiting for a call at the dacha when the building materials will be delivered. The electricity was turned off, the phone was dead, and there was no charging in the car. The neighbors have left. The driver will not get through and will go back (because he does not know where to go). I think many people had something similar in different variations.

So the situation would be saved by a similar dynamo, which you can have in the car or in the country for unforeseen situations. And there are such models available to all buyers:

Provides 6 V voltage and 300 mA current (power 1.8 W). This is enough to recharge the phone. Handle rotation frequency - up to 120 rpm. Compact size with body in three colors.

If someone used it, write your review in the comments.

Chinese manufacturers also offer a more powerful, tabletop model of a hand generator (dynamo machine):

Power 20W with multiple voltage and current outputs: 3V / 5V / 6V / 9V / 12V. Two USB connectors and two wire clamp connectors. On the terminal block, the voltage is regulated by a switch. Dimensions 170x90x80 mm. Buyers call the generator unlimited power bank.

Such generators will come in handy not only during a power outage in the country, but also somewhere in the forest, at remote recreation centers where there is no central power supply. For example, a free service in campers camp. Twisted 30 minutes - recharged the phone, called. And it will also come in handy on long hikes and expeditions to charge the batteries of cameras, walkie-talkies. Rafting on rivers. In general, for tourism and outdoor activities.
