How I use banana peels for Orchids. The chic way I always have Healthy Plants
Caring for orchids is necessarily expensive and difficult, because they are such beautiful, exotic plants? Common, but not entirely correct opinion.
Orchids do take more care than many other flowers. But it is not always necessary to look for some rare and expensive fertilizer to please a capricious beauty.
I'm talking about how to feed an orchid with what is in almost every home regularly - banana peel.
We treat the orchid with "banana tea"
People drink tea to improve their mood and benefit. And orchids - to grow better and delight the owners with beautiful flowers.
The banana orchid tea recipe is extremely simple. Take the peel of several bananas - the peel of 1 fruit is enough to "give tea" to one plant. Dry it until it hardens.
I recommend doing this on a radiator or in the sun - drying in the oven can deprive the peel of the nutrients, as they are destroyed by high temperatures.
When the peel has hardened, grind it into powder in any way convenient for you. Then it's time to brew the tea. Pour 1-2 teaspoons of the powder with hot water - almost boiling water, but not steep, but slightly cooled. Stir the liquid and let it cool to room temperature.
Then feed the plant's root system with tea. Why is this infusion so useful?
Banana peels contain nutrients that are essential for the plant, such as nitrogen, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus. They stimulate active growth and gorgeous flowering of orchids. Of course, they can also be obtained from commercial fertilizers.
But the benefits of banana tea are obvious:
· This is a very inexpensive way - very many people eat bananas regularly, so the cost of feeding can be considered zero;
· Banana tea does not contain an overabundance of nutrients, using it, it is impossible to "overfeed" the flower and harm it until death. To overdo it with concentrated commercial fertilizers.
· This is a natural and natural way. If you are afraid to use commercial fertilizers, not knowing what exactly is in the composition, banana peels are best suited.
Do you treat your orchids with banana tea? Or do you prefer other feedings?
