The most durable knots that will be useful in work and everyday life: shows my friend, a former boatswain
Marine knots are of particular importance for sailors. Without the ability to knit strong knots, you cannot imagine a real sailor, climber or fisherman. Sea knots also help in everyday life. Any knot must be knitted correctly and tightly. Safety depends on it. An acquaintance of mine (an old boatswain) will tell you about the main components that can be useful in everyday life.
Gazebo node
It is also called bowline or knot-chair. One of the most ancient knots. A simple and durable knot can be made in a few seconds. Universal knot, used for mooring, in the theater, rope to hook, belay. The knot is easy to knit and then can be easily untied. It does not slide on the cable. Such a knot is considered the king of nautical knots.
Boy Scouts have a special knot memory.
First step - rabbit mink.
Second step - the end of the rope (rabbit) crawls out of the hole.
Third step - the rabbit runs behind the tree. AND fourth - the rabbit is hiding in the burrow. Tighten the knot tight. Just remember, you can knit "one left". Does not tighten under load.
Negative sides: variable loads lead to knot decoupling. If you use slippery material, the knot "creeps".
Grapevine Knot
Double knot. First you need to fold two ropes in parallel and tie a knot with the first end, as in the photo:
Now we do this:
It is a reliable node that does not need additional control nodes. It tightens tightly under load and then it is very difficult to untie it. Sometimes it's not even real.
Straight knot
To prevent the knot from untied, control knots are tied at both ends.
Minuses: on a slippery rope, the knot will "crawl". When it gets wet, the knot is not very reliable.
Eskimo bowline
A bit like a Cossack knot. More reliable than a simple arbor site.
The size of the buttonhole can be adjusted.
