Several reasons why it is more advisable to buy a chest of drawers with an ironing board

When I got tired of ironing clothes on the table, I thought about buying a traditional folding ironing board. The question immediately arose where to put it, while you are not using it. Even when folded, it is rather bulky. Therefore, not every house or apartment has a suitable place in a closet or closet. And since you have to iron your clothes several times a week, the process of unfolding and cleaning the board will be tiring.

After seeing a chest of drawers with an ironing board in the store, I realized that this piece of furniture can solve several problems at the same time.

Purchase Description

It is small when folded. The chest of drawers is 75 cm wide, 42 cm deep, and 85 cm high. The size of the ironing board is 110x25 cm. With such dimensions, you can find a place for him in the bedroom, and in the hallway, and in any utility room. If you put a vase of flowers or a beautiful lamp on top, it will decorate the room. The store offered chests of drawers in different colors, so I had the opportunity to choose the same facade as the other furniture.

Preparation for use

In order to prepare the ironing board for use, you need to perform a few simple steps:

· Fold back the movable top cover;

· Move the additional support away from the left wall;

· Raise the board and lower it onto the support.

To unfold the board, you need to leave free space on the right side with a width of 30 cm, on the left side  55 cm. In working order, the width of the chest of drawers reaches 160 cm. These dimensions should be taken into account when positioning in the room, so that the furniture does not have to be moved additionally before work.

Additional elements

The product has four spacious drawers, in which it is convenient to put ironed small things.

There is a shelf to the right of the ironing board. I put an iron on it so that it does not interfere with straightening large laundry.

Before purchasing, I had sustainability concerns. But the legs turned out to be strong enough, and the ironing board does not swing during operation. In addition, the legs can be adjusted in height. Therefore, even on an uneven floor, the chest of drawers will not wobble.

Disadvantage

Perhaps for those who are used to holding the iron with their left hand, this furniture may seem uncomfortable. Unlike a folding ironing board, the dresser can only be approached from one side. And the design features do not allow transferring the ironing surface to the opposite side. But I, having experienced the purchase at work, will never agree to exchange this chest of drawers for a regular ironing board.
