Antimagnetic seal - what is it and why it is better not to touch it

Hello dear guests and subscribers of my channel. As you know, the fight against the plunderers of resources is being actively pursued on all fronts, and installation of an anti-magnetic seal is considered one of the rather effective methods.

But what it is and for whatever reason it is not necessary to try to do something with it (seal), I will now tell and show in detail.

Why are these seals installed?

I think you already guessed that these seals are installed in order to prevent the rather popular method of theft using neodymium magnets.

To withstand just such magnets, an anti-magnetic seal has been developed. Now I will tell you about their structure and how they function.

Anti-magnetic seal and its device

An anti-magnetic seal is a complex product in the form of a self-adhesive tape. Moreover, particles are included in the self-adhesive base, which change their original position due to the effect of a strong magnetic field.

There are several types of fillings on the market at once (and constant work is underway to create new types). But for convenience, it is permissible to divide them into the following subspecies:

• Film-type seals. Anti-magnetic seals of this kind are nothing more than a regular sticker. But if you bring a magnet to such a "sticker", then the internal particles inside the adhesive layer will change their original state. And the sticker will change its original color.
• Capsule-type anti-magnetic seal. In this version of the seal, in the middle of the sticker there is a transparent plastic capsule, where a drop of a special substance is located. So if a strong magnet is brought to such a seal, then the drop is deformed and any controller who comes to check the readings again will see it.

In addition, if you also try to tear off the seal, then it will separate unevenly and the inscription "Opened" will appear in Russian or in English.

At the same time, I will immediately say that the common myths that they (stickers) can be removed easily with the use of a hair dryer or ice do not work. These stickers are specially designed for such influences, and with any manipulation, an unpleasant inscription will still appear.

What is the right to install these seals

Some readers will have a question: "How legitimate is such an operation as mounting an anti-magnetic seal on a meter?"

So I will say right away, from the side of the law, everything is pure and noble. And anti-magnetic seals are installed in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 05/06/2011 No. 354 (new version of 06/29/2020).
