Does a mid-range dual-band router live up to expectations?

The idea of ​​updating the home router has been ripening for a long time - the old man clearly could not cope with his tasks. He could no longer provide a family of four with the Internet, and it was decided to buy a new one. We immediately agreed that we would not take the cheapest, but we did not want to spend especially. Chosen from the middle price segment and what was in stock at the local store. The rt-ac1200l router from Asus was ideal for the price and characteristics.

The choice was based on the connection speed and the overall quality of the product. In this price category, the Asus router turned out to be one of the best, its characteristics are as follows:

Frankly, I didn't even open the instructions, because the router works right out of the box. This was an important criterion when choosing - I didn't want to bother with setting up and connecting.

In this regard, the router is just fine - took it out, connected it to the network, and everything works. The only difficulty is that you have to call your ISP and change the MAC address, but it didn't take too long either.

There is nothing to say about design - it is simple. But this is not so important and did not affect the choice, all the same, the router stands high on the cabinet and does not bother anyone with its appearance. But there is something to say about the quality of the connection. The distance of use is not so significant, the device was bought a week ago.

During this time, the router does not cause negative feelings, because it fully justifies all expectations. The computer is connected to a wire, and the speed really keeps at around 100 mb / s. Wireless connection is no less pleasing - you can simultaneously watch videos on several devices, play games and just surf the Internet.

The purchase of this router was a long-awaited event, and while it copes with all its tasks and pleases the household. I hope that in the future it will continue its stable work.
