When I bought a Decembrist flower on the market, I was sure that there would be no problems with growing it, since other plants on my windowsill feel great.

Yes, at first the flower grew well, pleased with juicy greens, but soon it became clear to me that the Decembrist was not going to bloom at all. It would seem that this is not such a serious problem, but still I wanted to see beautiful flowers, as in the pictures of popular literature about indoor plants.

Top dressing helped me solve the flowering issue, and now a beautiful flowering plant pleases the eye. I hasten to share with you the recipe, as well as tell you about the mistakes that absolutely must not be allowed when growing.

Because of what mistakes during cultivation does the Decembrist not bloom?

After studying the numerous literature, I realized what mistakes I made when growing the Decembrist, except for the lack of feeding:

1. Long non-transplanting into a permanent pot. If the flower is not transplanted immediately, the root system quickly depletes the soil, which excludes flowering.

2. Using a pot of the wrong size. I planted the Decembrist in a too large pot to postpone the next transplant for the maximum period, as it turned out, this is absolutely impossible to do.

3. Damage to the root system. Before finding the perfect top dressing recipe, I used store-bought chemical fertilizers that literally burned the roots of the plant.

I also want to draw your attention to the fact that it is absolutely impossible to flood the Decembrist strongly when watering. If you exclude common mistakes, the first flowers of the plant will delight in the near future.

The recipe for the perfect feeding for the Decembrist

In order for your Decembrist to please with his flowering, it is advised to use this feeding recipe:

· 0.5 liters of water;

· A couple of tablespoons of sugar;

A pinch of dried banana peel

· 2 tablespoons of ash (can be replaced with cigarette ash).

Warm the water to room temperature, dissolve all the ingredients, and water the Decembrist with the resulting solution 1-2 times a week, depending on the time of year and the intensity of the soil drying.

Unlike chemical additives, feeding based on natural ingredients does not harm the plants, promotes accelerated growth and dense flowering.
