Christmas star made of yarn and cardboard in 10 minutes
Greetings to the readers of our channel, we continue the series of New Year's homemade products with minimal costs. Today we will make a beautiful star, which can be used to decorate a Christmas tree or as a "handmade" gift.
The photo shows the simplest option. A simple cardboard frame wrapped in yarn. At the ends of the star studs with beads, decorative paper in the center. Now let's start making this beauty.
For work we need:
- Cardboard or other thick paper (in our case, a shoe box was used up);
- A skein of yarn;
- Studs with beads at the end;
- Decorative paper (in our case with snowflakes);
- Scissors and ballpoint pen;
- Ruler;
- Hot glue gun
Surely every housewife in the house definitely has a queen of yarn, it can be velvet, fluffy and of different colors. Instead of yarn, you can use braided hemp rope or regular decorative tape (but tape is more difficult to lay).
Cut out a square of about 15x15 cm from cardboard, then divide it into 4 parts, as shown in the photo.
We add the resulting equal segments in the form of a star and glue them together, as shown in the photo.
We glue decorative paper on the front side.
Now we insert the studs with beads at the ends into the corners of the star, they will help us when winding the yarn on a cardboard frame.
Next, we take a thread of yarn and fix one end with glue on the back of the star.
We begin to wind the thread on the frame. Matting from the outside of the star to its center. We lead the thread along the front square.
We wrap the two nearest hairpins with a thread from the bottom, bring the thread to the top and again lead along the lower square. Next, we wrap the next two pins and so on.
It is important to wind the thread in one direction only (clockwise or counterclockwise). The direction cannot be changed, otherwise the final drawing will break.
We wrap the star with yarn until you get such a product as in the photo. We pull the end of the thread and fix it on the back of the star with glue.
At the final stage, we insert the pins into the frame all the way, as shown in the photo.
That's it, your star is ready. In practice, we can say that the size of the star should not exceed the palm of your hand, otherwise it does not look very nice. The whole point is in the miniature of the product.
Next, turn on your imagination and invent your own design options for the asterisk based on the material that you have.
That's all. Thank you for your attention, click like, share your homemade product with your friends and smile)))
And I also recently launched my new channel site. There is not a lot of material, but it is in the process of filling. There are also interesting homemade products there.
