We make a decorative Christmas tree from cardboard and twine
We welcome the readers of our channel Kulibins. In continuation to the posts about New Year's homemade products, we want to offer you the option of making a miniature Christmas tree, which can be put on a festive table or to decorate an office workplace.
Complexity: easy
Preparation time: 20 minutes
For work we need:
- Cardboard paper;
- Twine;
- Decorative Christmas ribbon;
- Decor element in the form of a snowflake or an asterisk;
- Pen, scissors and stapler;
- Ruler and glue gun.
Now let's get to work. Cut a sheet of cardboard so that you get an equilateral square, then cut off a semicircle from opposite corners as shown in the photo.
We fold the cone and fix the lower part with a stapler. This will be enough for such a small structure, since the twine will still give strength to the product.
We fix the end of the twine at the very top of the cone with a glue gun and start winding the twine on the cardboard frame. Each next turn of twine is tightly pressed against the previous one and fixed with glue every 3-4 turns.
You should end up with such a design.
At the top of the tree, we fix a decorative element, in our case it is a snowflake. We fix with hot glue, but if you have metal pins, it is better to use them.
Next, decorate with a decorative ribbon as shown in the photo. It is also better to fix the tape in several places with hot glue.
If the Christmas tree stands in the office or there are many guests at home, then everyone will want to see and touch it, as a result the ribbon will lose its entire appearance.
That's all, the product is ready))) And another important point. This is the case when size matters)) Do not make the Christmas tree more than 30 cm high, the whole effect and all the beauty is in the miniature decoration. The more, the worse.
How can you additionally decorate a Christmas tree?
Several options immediately come to mind:
- Apply glue to the cardboard frame and simply sprinkle with different glitters. Although the same can be done over the twine, it should be beautiful.
- You can try decorating with artificial snow.
- As an ornament, instead of a ribbon, you can fix beads, sequins or pampons.
- Instead of twine, you can try decorating with rain or yarn.
In general, the decor options are limited only by your imagination.
