In my opinion, you need to be especially attentive to your health during the period when colds begin. I recommend giving up some bad habits. I'll tell you about them now.

Give up junk and unhealthy foods

I am a supporter of healthy and proper nutrition, and I also taught my family to it. Indeed, high-quality food has enough vitamins and trace elements necessary to support immunity. Of course, sometimes I deviated from my principles, cooked "harmful" sweets, but this was very rare.

I believe that the diet should be dominated by fresh natural products that do not undergo excessive heat treatment. On the table I always have fresh fruits, vegetables, a variety of spicy herbs.

Keep your feet warm

Remember how they used to say: the head should be cold and the legs hot. I like to walk barefoot, but only in the summer on the hot sand. The rest of the time, slippers are required. This is not just a habit: many years ago I learned that a person with cold feet sharply decreases the protective properties of the body, decreases immunity.

My children and grandchildren walk around the apartment either in slippers or in socks, but not barefoot. When it comes to the cold season, I always check the quality of winter shoes. If at the bus stop waiting for the auto boom your feet begin to freeze, then you need to pick up a warmer option.

But it is better not to use thick knitted socks for constant wear. In them, the legs are soared, and this can cause fungal diseases. Believe me, getting rid of it is not so easy.

You must not forget about sleep

Lack of sleep accompanies almost every working person. I read a lot about this and realized that if you sleep less than 8 hours, the body does not get the necessary rest. And this means that the immune system is malfunctioning, therefore, diseases cannot be avoided, and it will be more difficult to restore the body.

I have always tried to sleep at least 8 hours a day. I always try to follow the daily routine. But for this I had to train willpower for years before I managed to develop such a rhythm of life when there is enough time for everything: for work and rest.

Bad habits away

I am a supporter of a healthy lifestyle. In my family, no one smokes or drinks. Perhaps that is why we rarely get sick. But smokers and drinkers are more likely to be exposed to viral infections.

I advise you to give up bad habits, because health is the most important thing, you cannot buy it for any money.

Avoid stress

In today's world, stressful situations are difficult to avoid. Sometimes it is enough for me to watch a news release to make the mood drop to zero. And if there are problems with children or husband, then sleep becomes intermittent.

This condition greatly depresses the immune system. My family helps me to get out of stress, they surround me with attention and care. I answer them the same. Love and attention is the best medicine for stress and depression.

No, I'm not encouraging everyone to do physical education and sports, pushing everything else into the background. I always tell my children, who sit at the computer without interruption, that such a lifestyle weakens our body becomes flabby, the immune system is unable to cope with colds diseases. I make them get up and do arbitrary exercises (fortunately, I live with them).

For me, the morning starts with a little jogging in my own home. Exercise continues while feeding animals, cleaning the barnyard. But such a load is not enough, so at 4 o'clock I always go in for sports. It provides me with exercises, oddly enough, the Internet.

All my recommendations, perhaps, someone will not take seriously, but even some steps will postpone the likelihood of illness.
