The husband does not know how to do anything: is it worth living with him just because he is a good person - I ask this question

Maybe my problem will seem ridiculous or trivial to someone, but I really don't know what to do, I am completely confused... The fact is that my husband cannot do anything. I think that only those who have been in a similar situation will understand me well. But I'll start in order.

I expected from my future husband that he would become a real master, help me around the house, that we could create our own cozy nest with him.

He loved me very much, was always attentive to me. I skyrocketed with happiness when, after the wedding, we finally moved to our apartment, which was to be fully renovated. How wrong I was in my ideas!

It turned out that he was completely incapable of doing anything. Of course, his profession does not oblige him to be able to use the tool, he is my accountant. But I thought that over time, my husband would be able to learn at least the simplest things: replace the tap, fix the socket, sharpen the knives.

And after that he will already master something more difficult. But where there! Our repairs stalled before they even started.

I think everyone is familiar with the prices that foremen-business executives ask for their work. They usually need to pay as much as the material to repair costs.

And my husband and I did not have enough money for that at that time. Somehow I begged him to try to do it. All right, he would make good money and give me money for all these household expenses. But it turns out that he can neither earn nor do it himself.

So he ruined a new tap, twisted something in it, then broke a completely new toilet bowl by negligence - in general, only losses had to be counted, and I generally keep quiet about saving.

We quarreled very much then, we did not speak for a month. The repair has become. I asked my neighbor to make us a bathroom somehow, pay him the money that she managed to collect. He also laughed at my husband that he could not do anything, I was so ashamed because of this.

Then our daughter was born. I was not interrogated to move the crib I bought, or the socket for the night light. He said - we already fought over this, that's enough, if necessary - hire a master.

I'd be glad to do everything myself, but I'm a woman. Can't go to study as a plumber to do everything myself?

And I don't know what to do: everything falls out of his hands, no matter what he takes. I no longer expect anything from him at all. And I even think I was wrong in my choice.

But he is a good man, he loves me very much, we rarely swear for any other reason than this. And he doesn't drink at all, he brings me presents for every holiday.

Nevertheless, what is the point of a man if his hands, excuse the expression, are growing from the wrong place, and we simply do not have money for a locksmith?

To ask the master to change the light bulb - well, sorry, but it's a shame. People will just laugh. It turns out, no matter how good a person is, but how to live with him if there is no benefit from him, except that he brings money from work? And there are not many of those, if you look at it.

What do you think? What should I do in my position? Is it worth staying with such a man? Or do you need to give a damn about feelings and bring into the house someone who can at least hold a screwdriver in his hands?
