An experienced florist suggested how to increase the flower stalk of Orchids. I share with you the garlic infusion
Orchids are very beautiful exotic flowers that delight with their splendor for almost six months. Previously, I was unable to achieve a lush flowering.
Either she removed the peduncle at the wrong time, or did not have time to change the pots for a more voluminous one. Recently, a friend of mine advised to use garlic infusion to increase the peduncle. I share with you its preparation.
I liked it because it is a completely organic product, which in any case will be favorably accepted by the plant and easily assimilated by it.
How to make a tincture
This environmentally friendly top dressing is not difficult to prepare. To prepare it, you need only 2 ingredients: garlic and ordinary unboiled water.
It is better to prepare the water in advance by melting the snow or standing for half a day.
Algorithm:
- put all the ingredients and dishes on the table - garlic (about 150-200 grams), ready-made water at room temperature, a garlic press, a saucer, a large jar;
- peel the garlic from the upper husk;
- garlic press a vegetable and put it on a saucer;
- fill a three-liter jar with water in a ratio of 3/4, it is better if it is slightly warm;
- put the garlic in water, close the mixture with a tight lid;
- We place the container with the ready-made solution in a dark place for 5 days.
After this time, it will be ready. Then we store it in the refrigerator, avoiding fermentation.
How to use and store
This is because garlic is a source of sulfur and antioxidants. It has clearly expressed antiviral and antibacterial properties.
For orchids, this is an excellent feeding and simultaneous prevention of pests. For other indoor plants, it is an effective way to fight diseases and insects. They can be sprayed completely or only those areas that are damaged.
Orchid processing is carried out by the root method, and the leaves and stems are also sprayed. This is best done with a spray bottle.
Contraindications for use
You should not use this tool in the following cases:
- when the orchid blooms;
- more often 2 times a month;
- if the liquid is fermented or stored for more than 5 days.
Optimally prepare a fresh tincture. It is not necessary to exceed the dosage, since the product is quite "vigorous".
And one more important point: during feeding, watering the flower with these means alone is not worth it. Since it is a fairly strong stimulant of flowering and rehabilitation of a weakened peduncle.
