My three New Year's salads for 2021
No matter how the outgoing year turns out, it is customary for our family to celebrate the New Year and see off the old year with a plentiful feast. I like to prepare interesting salads, decorate them brightly and cheerfully so that all guests have a good mood and an appetite.
To be honest, I often take ideas for table decoration in shopping malls, and not on the Internet, where everything is too complicated and photoshopped. And on the showcase are specific products that you can buy right here and arrange them beautifully, as the chef of the shopping center suggests.
Of course, it's difficult to call New Year's salads a healthy meal. But we constantly eat healthy food. And on holidays we allow ourselves to relax and eat tasty, but harmful - a little.
So, the first salad "New Year's wreath"
For him you need boiled rice, about 1 glass, a package of crab sticks 200 g, an apple, preferably sweet, hard cheese, 2 tomatoes, dill and onions, as well as pomegranate seeds for decoration. And mayonnaise.
We put everything on a plate around a glass placed in the center with a neat wreath. The layers are in the order shown in the list. Then you need to overlay with dill and decorate with pomegranate, build decorative candles from crab sticks and carrots. In principle, any salad can be folded this way, not even in layers. The main thing is to make it in the form of a wreath.
Second appetizer salad "Red fish roll"
You will need red fish - about 200 grams, 3 boiled or baked potatoes, 3 boiled carrots, 3-4 boiled eggs, mayonnaise
To make a roll, spread the foil or parchment and rub the carrots on it, level it with a square of about 30 by 30 cm and grease with mayonnaise. Rub a layer of potatoes on the carrots, again thinly with mayonnaise. Rub eggs on a layer of potatoes, again mayonnaise and finely chopped fish on it.
After that, gently roll the layer into a roll, put it on an oval dish. We decorate the roll and serve in portions.
Third salad "Butterflies"
Cooking procedure: we lay the layers in the order as listed in the recipe and decorate the salad with chips and walnut kernels in the form of butterflies.
About a glass of prunes soaked in hot water beforehand, dry and chop finely. Finely chop the boiled or smoked chicken, cover with mayonnaise. Mix the Chinese cabbage (small head) with mayonnaise and then make the next layer from this mixture. Fresh champignons, 1 pack, fry with onions and cool, grate cheese on them and again a layer of mayonnaise. Chop walnuts, or grate - this is the top layer.
These are such inexpensive, quite affordable salads I plan to put on the New Year's table.
