But in fact, this is a wonderful remedy - feeding with sugar.

Can plants be fed in winter?

Winter is a dormant period for indoor flowers. But, nevertheless, they constantly require care and attention. Everyone has heard that in winter you should not give plants a lot of energy so that they do not grow. But this does not mean that they need to be kept on a starvation diet. They should not be given nitrogen fertilizers that cause green mass build-up. Indeed, due to a lack of light and increased dryness of the air, this green mass grows weak and very depletes the plant. It dies.

The land in the container where the flower grows still needs to be fertilized. After all, indoor flowers receive nutrients only from a small lump of soil in a pot!

Optimal feeding

To feed the plants in the room in winter, simple sugar, granulated sugar, which we use for food, is suitable. Dissolving in water, it breaks down into glucose and fructose, they become sources of carbohydrates, energy and building material for plants.

To prepare the fertilizer, you need to take 800 grams of warm water, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 gram of dry yeast. Mix everything and leave for half an hour, then feed the plants. Yeast - in a minimal amount, it is needed to produce carbon dioxide, which helps glucose to enter cells.

In a few days, sad and pale flowers will begin to delight with elastic and shiny leaves, their appearance will become healthier.

But you should not abuse such feeding, it can be used no more than 1 time in three weeks. It is impossible for the soil to be damp and sour. The surface must be loosened so that air can penetrate to the roots.
