How I bought a thing that was not the most needed in the house (a sink disposer), but it turned out to be one of my best acquisitions
For a long time I did not even know that there was such a device as a household waste grinder or a disposer. In principle, it is not very popular in our country. However, I was strongly encouraged to install it and soon I realized why.
I bought a device of this brand.
This rather large appliance is built under the sink.
Any organic waste - fruit peel, small bones, food residues, he utilizes. Namely: I dump all this into a special hole, turn on the button and everything is ground in about a minute. Noise is emitted during operation. I will not say that he is not strong. Similar to the noise level that a vacuum cleaner produces. Especially if some kind of solid waste is being processed. But for me this is not a big minus at all. Together with the disposer, the water must still be turned on, during its operation and for some time after turning it off. This is necessary for crushing and subsequent discharge of everything into the sewer.
The hole in the sink itself can hold quite a bit of waste.
It looks like this.
Why do I think this is a necessary thing in everyday life?
1. Less rubbish. It really accumulates quite a bit. After all, the lion's share of what we throw away every day is food waste.
2. There is no unpleasant smell. For me, this is a significant advantage, since the specific aromas of the bin are extremely annoying.
3. The sink is not clogged. For obvious reasons - any food pieces will be processed and sent down the drain. A simple drain in the sink, no matter how carefully you follow it, periodically clogs up with most.
The main thing here is not to dump into the disposer what he cannot grind. These are large bones, rags, bags and everything like that.
So, I came to the conclusion that the household waste shredder is definitely worth purchasing. Given that such a thing will serve you for more than one year, the cost of it will pay off in full.
