One-piece staircase to the second floor: assembly in a day, reliability

click fraud protection

As you know from previous articles, a small design mistake was made in our house: the corridor in which the hatch to the second floor is cut is very narrow and long. Only 2 * 5 meters, and the ceiling height ~ 240 cm, which is why I am now puzzling over how to make the ladder compact.

And in the process of searching for ideas, I came across an interesting video where a man collects a small, convenient and reliable swing ladder with his own hands. As they say. "in one helmet", so I designated the title of the article as a one-helmet ladder.

I liked its design and the fact that it can be assembled alone. But I still cannot highlight such dimensions for the stairs (the corridor is only 2 meters wide).

Then I found another option: a Japanese folding ladder made of a metal frame and durable fiberglass. I also found her in the video:

A huge plus of that staircase is that it folds and occupies at least 0.5 square meters on the wall. Confused, of course, that it will hang a little and block the light from the lamp.

And here is the minus that spoils everything: such a staircase costs 24 thousand rubles. Very expensive considering how often we will use it ..

You ask, "Why not buy a ladder with a hatch?"

And I’ll tell you: our second floor is cold and not heated in winter, so the hatch must be insulated. And if a ladder lies in a folded state on this hatch, then there can be no question of any warmth.

How to be in such a situation? Can you suggest some neat solution to the problem in the comments?

Thank you for reading to the end and a special thank you to those who will advise which stairs to put in the attic in the comments!
