Tricks to help you keep your Christmas decorations in "perfect shape"! 5 practical ideas
New Year's garlands, Christmas tree decorations, tinsel, balls and beads are needed only once a year. And then what? Right! They go straight to cabinets, shelves and mezzanines, where, unfortunately, during storage they can lose their original appearance: deteriorate, get confused, break and even disappear ...
Good afternoon dear friends!
So, in order not to reluctantly update the assortment of your holiday decorations every year, they must be stored wisely, using Russian ingenuity and "Things" that, at first glance, are not quite suitable for this event: a filter for coffee, a plastic bottle, a folder for documents, etc. Surprised by this approach? But in vain!
And to prove this fact to you, I prepared the material, which will help you keep your Christmas decorations intact. This means that you do not have to spend a lot of time, money and effort looking for and purchasing a new decor for your home for New Year and Christmas.
1.Filter for balls. Glass Christmas toys are perhaps the most fragile "things" of all holiday accessories. They often don't make it to the next year. So, in order to avoid chips, abrasions and crumbled glitter, I suggest you use paper filters for the coffee machine.
They must be put in an ordinary cardboard box in 2-3 layers, and then the thinnest balls are carefully placed inside them. That's it, now your Christmas tree decorations will remain safe and sound until next New Year.
2.Bottle for New Year's beads. Christmas garlands and Christmas tree beads look very nice and stylish, but they have one big drawback - they get confused. And sometimes it is simply impossible to untangle them, there are not enough nerves and forces. Therefore, in order not to waste my time next time, I suggest using an ordinary plastic bottle.
But there are subtleties here too! First, allocate a bottle for each decorative accessory, and secondly, the ends of the beads are best glued to the neck with tape. So it will be easier to pull them out of the container another time.
3.Organizer box for small jewelry. But for very small toys and small jewelry, it is best to make a special organizer. How to do it? Collect it! To do this, you need a plastic container, lots of plastic cups, a cardboard sheet and glue.
And now, to make a full-fledged organizer for Christmas decorations, take and glue some of the glasses to the bottom of the container, and others to the cardboard sheet. If the height of the container allows, and you still have a lot of toys, make the third row in this way. Now stack them on top of each other in a container, and VOIL - a neat organizer drawer is ready.
4.A paper tray for fragile toys. Never rush to throw away your egg containers and trays. This is a very convenient and practical thing in the household: for example, they can be used to store small Christmas balls.
All you need to do is put all the fragile decorations in a tray, then close and carefully place it in a larger cardboard box where the rest of your New Year's accessories will be stored. That's all, actually!
5.Folder for stickers, paper snowflakes and postcards. Have you made tons of paper decorations (garlands, toys, balls, lanterns, snowflakes ...) this year and don't know how to keep them? No problem! How do you look at using a regular plastic document folder that is sold in a stationery store. Positively? Super!
Indeed, in its compartments, you can easily spread not only all these decorations, but also bright holiday cards, stickers... So, until next year, they will definitely not be wrinkled and will not burst, wherever you take it.
