How I cleaned my toys with baking soda: a recipe from the internet helped me

Washing your baby's toy is easy. But what to do if, even in the gentle wash mode, you risk spoiling your child's best friend forever. Not cleaning at all is not an option: dirt, dust and germs accumulate on the surface over time. A recipe from the Internet helped me.

Sort items that can withstand machine wash without loss from those that require delicate cleaning.

Faux fur, cotton and wool are light and hypoallergenic, but depending on the color of the threads, they shed easily even in cool water. It is better not to wash products made of dyed fabrics so that they do not lose their bright and rich color. Old, dilapidated toys and antistress toys with foam balls inside will not survive the rotation of the machine drum.

Measure out 100 grams of baking soda and pour into a bag.

Baking soda is useful in that its alkaline composition acts gently, non-aggressively, which is especially important when washing delicate fabrics. It disinfects the surface and removes unpleasant odors.

Fold the toys in a bag and tie tightly.

Shake the bag to distribute the baking soda evenly over the lint and textiles.

Leave the toys in the bag for an hour.
