How I get out of the holidays "painlessly": my recovery mode
I love to prepare for the holidays, just like the arrival of guests. But when the days of rest last long, when you do not know what to do with yourself from idleness, it is very difficult to get out of the idle state.
Take the New Year holidays, which last 10 days. Of course, all day I am not at the table and at the table. I am in the fresh air, doing my favorite things, for which there is not enough time on weekdays, because there is a lot of energy. But then getting up and going to work, re-entering the work rhythm is not always painless.
This means that we need to find ways to channel energy in the right direction. Not only I have a hard time, but also my family, friends. But I have some helpful tips to share.
Restore sleep
First of all, sleep suffers. After all, you do not need to get up to work, you can go to bed later, and lie in bed longer in the morning. Before the first working day after the holidays, I myself go to bed earlier and put the whole family to bed.
By the way, Mikhail Poluektov, associate professor of the Department of Nervous Diseases and Neurosurgery at the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, has his own vision of getting out of idle sleep. He suggests getting some sleep before going to work. But in the evening you will want to go to bed in time. And everything that did not sleep will return in the following days.
Unfortunately, I found out about this interesting proposal a little late.
Water
During holidays, vacations, we indulge in various culinary delights, and alcohol is not excluded. The result is "pollution" of the body. I think many will agree with me: after the holidays, the stomach feels heavy.
I have known one secret for a long time that helps me to cope with the problem. The second day after a hearty dinner, I start with regular water. First, I drink warm water on an empty stomach, and then several more times a day. I repeat this procedure throughout the week. And again lightness and cheerfulness returns.
Plan smart
After the holidays, despite the fact that it seems full of energy, you should not plan serious and difficult things. You need to enter into the usual work rhythm gradually. In the evening I sketch on a piece of paper what needs to be done tomorrow. Moreover, I mark the required cases and those that can wait.
Sports activities
I am indifferent to sports as such. But after long idle reclining on the sofa, some physical activity is indispensable. If you also don't like sports, then I recommend low loads just to disperse the blood stagnant during the holidays.
Workplace
It is equally important to remove all holiday decorations in the workplace, which I do when I come to the office. I put plain water on the table without gas, preferably at room temperature. I drink water in small sips throughout the day every hour. I definitely take breaks, I just stretch out on the table.
