The best way to insulate your home
I greet you categorically, my monochrome friends! Today we will talk about a sore subject - the energy efficiency of our country houses and country houses, especially those that were built not recently, but 10 or more years ago.
Due to the historical poverty of our population and the equally unhappy remoteness from the developed world, our houses were built and are being built on the notorious "strip foundation", in which only the lazy teacher of the PGS in the construction institute.
I do not deny the main advantage of the poor MLFL - its low cost, but I will emphasize two related Zita and Gita lack - the need for good ventilation (arrangement of vents) and LOW ENERGY EFFICIENCY.
Since the foundation is rarely buried below the real level of soil freezing (otherwise the "tape" comes out gold), most often the owners of such houses suffer from cold floors in winter and pay decent amounts for heating of housing. 15% of the heat escapes through the floor.
I myself am one of those who live in a house on a strip foundation, so I know perfectly well what I am writing about.
So I urge you to at least slowly, at least in small parts, but bring your strip foundation closer to the USHP - "insulated Swedish plate".
Who does not know, the classic UWB pie consists from bottom to top of:
- compacted sand;
- foam as insulation;
- reinforcement in the form of steel or fiberglass reinforcement;
- concrete.
Accordingly, no one bothers to slowly bring sand into the underground in the summer season, lay slabs quite cheap nowadays foam and fill them with concrete with obligatory reinforcement of at least the 8th fittings.
There will be no large loads on this slab, so there is more reinforcement here to calm the conscience, for greater reliability.
From my own experience, I want to say that by insulating at least half of the building spot, you will already feel the difference - the floors will become an order of magnitude warmer.
I sketched you a small diagram of how to make concrete floors in the underground or basement on the ground, it will come in handy - save it in Odnoklassniki.
