Five fun DIY toys from the beginning of the last century
Greetings.
In the next Internet search I came across an old book published in 1920, called "Educational toys" (Educational Toys, by Louis C. Petersen)
Although the book is in English, it is well illustrated and almost everything in it is clear and without translation.
The book contains many examples of various toys and crafts that are easy to make with your own hands. Even a child can make them.
Next, I suggest looking at a few examples of toys from this book.
The first three are fairly similar in design. You can make them from thin plywood.
These pictures can be printed on A4 format and used as templates for sawing with a hand (pioneer) jigsaw or on a jigsaw.
The dimensions of the slats and points of attachment of the figures are given in inches. Convert to mm. they are not difficult. 1 inch = 25.4 mm.
Another fun toy. In it, the heroes pat each other in a friendly way. One with a broom, the other with an oar.
They also move on slats, but in a different plane.
Funny puppy
There are also different crafts in the book. Some of them may still be useful. For example, here is such a "Pelican" as a stand for sewing accessories.
A needle pad is inserted where the wings should be.
If you are interested in flipping through this whole book, then you can do it link.
Thanks for reading. I would be glad to have your support in the form of a like and a subscription to the channel. And see other publications on the channel.
Alexander.
P.S. I also invite you to your site.
