I tell you how to use a multifunctional device for circulars in the manufacture of a spike connection

Greetings.

Earlier on the channel, I already talked about this device and briefly mentioned its capabilities.

In this publication, I will tell you how you can use this device to make a spike connection.

In the manufacture of such spikes, the device serves as a carriage in which the parts are fixed vertically.

A bar is screwed to the high side of the device, on which the clamping clamps are installed.

On one part, I decided to make three spikes, and on the other, two.

First, I made a detail where there are three spikes. Since the spikes are symmetrical, I made cuts for them simply by turning the part over.

First, I made the extreme cuts, and then the central ones.

After that, in several passes, I deleted the marked parts.

The next step was to start making double spikes.

I used ready-made parts for marking. The outer edge of the saw teeth is flush with the groove in the workpiece. This way you can get a tight connection.

The cuts were also made symmetrically on both sides, turning the workpiece in one setting.

It is more convenient to saw off the extreme grooves on this workpiece from the plane.

The result is this connection.

After gluing, a very strong bond is obtained. These U-shaped parts can easily withstand a load of more than 70 kg. each one. I checked it with my own weight.
