Fast food is called fast food, which can immediately satisfy your hunger. Therefore, only healthy foods should be used as part of a snack. I have several grandchildren who come all summer.

From morning until late at night, they run, jump, burn a huge amount of calories. Therefore, they always want to eat. I have an excellent consultant - a friend who has been working as a pediatrician for a long time. So he knows about the health of children firsthand. So I try to cook only tasty and healthy fast foods, which my grandchildren do not refuse, and they also share with friends.

Healthy fast food options

Each housewife has a lot of healthy products in the refrigerator that will come in handy for preparing a snack. I often cook fast food for my grandchildren and their friends, but in my understanding.

Cereals

Today they sell various flakes, including multi-cereal ones. I have them all summer in stock. Kefir, cottage cheese, fermented baked milk, cream and sour cream are excellent for this product. I put 2-3 tablespoons of cereal in a wide mug, fresh or frozen berries on top (I have currants, raspberries, cherries), cottage cheese. And I finish all this yummy with any fermented milk product that children like.

Sandwiches and burgers

For such fast foods, I specially cook small flat minced chicken cutlets or fry pieces of fish. On a slice of black bread I spread a leaf of lettuce, a slice of fish or a cutlet, add sprigs of herbs, on top again a leaf of lettuce (sometimes without it).

You can do it differently. Put plastic cheese, a slice of omelet (you can also boiled egg), tomatoes and herbs on the bread.

My husband loves to cook these options, he also arranges competitions with his grandchildren for the most delicious sandwich or burger.

Instead of slices of bread or rolls, I often use homemade lavash.

French fries

Children are very fond of chips. But I don't buy them in the store, I cook them myself. It seems to me that it is not only tastier, but also healthier. My grandchildren like julienne potatoes baked until crisp in the oven.

Bars

Of course, I also buy sweet bars for my grandchildren. But most often these are cereal and protein options. They are much healthier, they are high in omega-3 and omega-8 fatty acids and practically no sugar. A friend advised them to me, and my daughter also buys them for children.

And of course, since I live in a village, children can always find "fast foods" themselves. The beds are full of greenery, growing radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, beets and cabbage. Raspberries, currants, cherries are gradually ripening, so there is something to profit from.

For example, my granddaughter, as soon as she enters the garden, picks a leaf of lettuce, a sprig of dill, parsley, celery and green onions. He washes everything under the tap, rolls it up and eats a vitamin sandwich with gusto.
