I bought it in mid-2016. I used it often, the case at the place where the soldering iron was heated had time to burn. But the sting needs to be tinkered constantly. The alloy is not like in expensive models, which do not oxidize and hold the solder well. But I think that for such a price, a soldering iron is normal for some non-jewelry work.
