Installed a pump on the boiler

We have completely entrusted the design of the heating and hot water supply system in our house to a specialized company. Of course, they consulted with us, taking into account all the wishes. But we also reacted to their advice only in a positive way, realizing that they had experience and examples of how to do better on their side. Therefore, when we were offered to install a circulation pump with an indirect heating boiler, we did not object.

The experts explained that with the help of the pump, an instantaneous supply of hot water will be provided, because water is constantly chasing through the DHW system. That is, by opening the tap, we should instantly feel the result of the pump.

Of course, this is not its only function - it also creates pressure, which helps to supply hot water to the second floor of the house. Of course, we do not have an apartment building, where the analysis of water is hundreds of times greater, the pump runs constantly. But still, it is also necessary to lift from the basement to the attic under pressure.

We have a pump from one of the best manufacturing firms - the German Wilo campaign. It has proven itself well in the market and the fact that now, due to the sanctions, it is practically impossible to buy this equipment, it is a pity. It is clear that the German system costs a lot of money - almost 15 thousand rubles.

Of course, it runs on electricity and the consumption, although small, exists. This is inevitable in any system.

But the most offensive thing is that in winter two glasses of cold water still flow out of the tap. Measured more than once - on the second floor, hot water comes after 200 grams of cold water.

Everything seems to be done correctly - the module with the pump is mounted on the return line so that air does not enter. And a check valve is installed behind it, which serves as a fuse.

But, despite this, both in the kitchen faucet and in the bathroom, a little cold water still flows at first. Perhaps this small amount is some kind of inaccuracy, but it seemed that it should not exist at all.

To say that the money was completely wasted, of course, is impossible. Nevertheless, warm water appears very quickly, and it is well supplied to the second floor. But the fact that this situation does not correspond to expectations a little is unambiguous. Probably, this always happens when you create some thoughts for yourself about how you would like, but in fact it turns out differently.

I wonder what other users will say about this, who has such a system and how does it work? Maybe something cheaper could be done?
