Upgrading a homemade sawing machine
Greetings.
I already talked about my sawing module earlier on the channel. If you have not seen, then the link to the drawings will be at the end of the article.
Now I have made several additions to it to improve the usability.
One of them is the installation of the T-track along with the guide.
The convenience of this rail is that various devices can be attached to it. An adjustment is also provided on the guide to eliminate possible backlash. (Scroll through the gallery)
Now I have only installed the crosscut fence. It is made in the same way as the previous one. Although I made a scale with a division of one degree, but practice of use has shown that there is no great need for this. Therefore, on the edge, I drew additional lines in 15 ° increments. This allows you to set the main angles (30,45,60,90), and set the rest after the fact, for example, using a bevel. (Scroll through the gallery)
On the test bar, the stop proved to be excellent.
I also redid the rip fence. It is a rectangular bar, on one side a perpendicular stop is screwed to it, and a clamping bar is installed on the other.
See the gallery further for the device of this rip fence.
The distance between the stop clamps is set at 2-3 mm. smaller table width and this allows you to quickly and reliably clamp the stop on the machine. It is also easy to install on either side of the saw blade.
Another addition is the installation of a magnetic starter. I removed it from my jigsaw machine, since I installed the switch on it with a foot pedal.
This button is connected to a double socket, which allows you to turn on the circular saw and the vacuum cleaner at the same time.
I bought a T-track with a guide here here, and drawings of the workplace with this sawing module look here.
Thanks for reading. I would be glad to have your support in the form of a like and a subscription to the channel. And see other publications on the channel.
Alexander.
