Boric acid to enlarge geranium inflorescences and more
Greetings, my dear readers - lovers of beautiful flowers on the windowsills!
The article was sent by a subscriber of my modest channel - Tatyana Ivanova. I decided to publish sometimes #useful tips readers who send in messages. And I am very grateful for this to everyone, including the commentators.
And in advance I want to say thanks to those who will add their experience under this article in the comments.
It's nice when geraniums bloom on your windowsill with a lot of lush inflorescences. I never got along with geraniums before, so I gave the pot of this useful indoor flower to a neighbor. What did I see a year later? She has so many inflorescences that it became enviable.
Between the lines, let me provide 3 links to other recipes from my feed:

Well, of course, I asked her about caring for geraniums and the secrets of such flowering. As it turned out, she tried spraying with boric acid solution. I will also tell you how to prepare the solution.
Until then, I encountered boric acid only in the fight against red ants. After moving to a new apartment, it turned out that in my apartment ants are bigger owners than I am. It seemed to me that this was something incredible for a city apartment.
A friend advised me to buy boric acid in powder form, dissolve it in hot water and add enough sugar to make the liquid very sweet. Pour this solution into low containers, into which these small ants could easily climb to drink and arrange them more in the kitchen and in the bathroom, where there are most of them.
Before that, of course, you need to wipe the bathroom and sink dry so that there is no longer any wet place in the house.
Believe it or not, the number of ants was getting smaller every month. And after about six months, I completely forgot about them. I even asked other residents whether they called special services for etching ants, no one confirmed.
And about the effect of boric acid, a friend explained to me by the fact that ants get sick from it, infect others from their heap and lose their ability to reproduce. Over time, they simply die out.
I could not even think that this tool for indoor flowers is so useful.
Returning to geranium flowers, and not only geraniums, take boric acid powder (in a standard package of 10 g) and divide it into 4 parts. Dissolve one part in a glass of hot (70-80 degrees) water. Dilute this solution with 5 liters of cold water and use it to spray geraniums with a pulverizer.
You need to spray the foliage before and after flowering. Not necessary during flowering. Also, this solution can be used to water indoor flowers for replenishment one-time.
