How to peel brown peels from almonds? I do it easily and effortlessly.
Greetings, dear readers of my useful advice!
Yesterday one reader asked me a question under the article - how to peel almonds from the husk so that it is easy to get almond flour from it?
I didn’t think that this question could be interesting, it seemed to me that everyone already knew... Therefore, I haven’t covered these culinary #useful tips (although I myself like to make almond-chocolate spread for morning sandwiches). I will gladly do it now.
Thank you for your questions and suggestions! For me, the author, your interest and communication with readers is very important.
First, I want to explain to those who have a question –
DO I NEED TO CLEAN AT ALL?
First, it is best not to peel the shell if the shell has been peeled just before eating. The husk has a lot of benefits. But unfortunately, I have never seen inshell almonds on sale, unlike pistachios or walnuts. Well, another hazelnut. If there are those among you who know where to buy, tell me;)
Secondly, I can only rinse off the dust and dry the whole packaged almonds. And this is the maximum.
BUT if almonds are by weight, and this significantly cheaper in price and it is more profitable for making flour at home, it is not only necessary to rinse it, peel it and then use it for various purposes.
And I do not recommend peeling for storage. This should be done just before cooking, because without the husk, the nuts lose most of their benefits and can even absorb carcinogens.
Between the lines, let me insert links to other posts from my channel:

Some make it easier for themselves to peel the brown husks of almonds by boiling the nuts. But I never boil, I think that heat treatment still destroys what is useful.
My way is also easy, simple. I just soak the nuts in hot water for 15-20 minutes. It is not so easy to separate the husk from once (it also depends on the shelf life of the almonds) Therefore, in some cases, after 10 minutes I drain the water and refill it. Then the peel is peeled off very easily! Literally with one tap with two fingers. The nut practically slips out of the husk by itself.
Then I put the wet nuts on a baking sheet and put them to dry at a temperature of 80 degrees for about half an hour. For flour, I hold up to 40 minutes.
If it seems to anyone that I did not quite understand what I expressed myself, I can suggest watching a short video on which I filmed the cleaning process on my YouTube channel - About tastes and colors where you will find a lot more useful things.
