I tested the new ventilation of my basement, and the nuances immediately came out. Why didn't I immediately think about it?
Any new system requires testing and improvement. Even something as simple as basement ventilation. and these few meters of ventilation ducts have their own subtleties.
Friends, greetings to all! In one of the previous articles, I wrote about how I finally made normal ventilation for my basement.
For more information about this work, see the vulgar articles, on my channel.
It's time to test it in action and make adjustments.
1️⃣ Supply channel.
Here, in the basement itself, I installed an anemostat, with the help of which it will be possible to regulate the amount of supply air.
In winter and summer, a different volume will be needed. All this is done to regulate the temperature and humidity in the basement.
Here, one nuance immediately appeared.
The ventilation duct with air flow passes through the house itself, therefore, when cold air circulates from the street, it immediately becomes covered with condensation.
Certainly unpleasant, but solvable. In the future, you just need to insulate it and that's it ...
2️⃣ Channel to exit.
Here, too, there was a problem with condensation, but already inside. Or rather, at the exit.
I bought a decorative cover in which a check valve was built. So this "plastic curtain" soon froze and blocked the air flow.
I don't know which constructor came up with to do this? Well, at least everything is collapsible and this valve can be simply removed, and there are no problems ...
The rest is fine.
Despite the fact that the ventilation outlet is made into the wall and not high, the air is drawn in a natural way. But this is most likely still winter, and there is a temperature difference.
And so I plan to put a simple 16 W fan, which will be enough for the eyes, even with periodic switching on.
I look forward to your advice in the comments, maybe I missed something?
