Friends, big hello to you! I have already covered several articles on the process of insulating the basement slab of my house, from the inside. And he seemed to talk about all the important nuances (for more details, read in previous publications, on my channel).

There is only one question left. Is there any sense in all this?

Knowing that through the floor, in the house there are comparatively the least heat losses,

I most of all doubted whether all the costs of this work would pay off. Do you feel that the house has really become warmer?

You can count the numbers for a long time using different formulas and online calculators, but only real thermometer readings will tell the whole truth.

And the truth is not as "sweet" as we would like ...

In one of my articles, I wrote that with a bare concrete slab, two 1500 W convectors, I managed to achieve a maximum of +12 degrees Celsius in the house (despite the fact that it was a maximum of -8 outside).

At the same time, the walls are aerated concrete D400 - 300 mm, the insulated roof is 250 mineral wool.

After insulation with EPS-ohm 100 mm, the situation is as follows:

✔ It's frosty outside, it doesn't rise above -15, and more often about -20, sometimes below ...

✔ At the same time, the temperature in the house is + 8, + 10 degrees.

• It seems that if you look at the temperature difference on the street and in the house, then of course it became better (although of course I want even better 🤗).
• At the same time, completely turning off the electricity for three days, the temperature dropped during this time to 0, -2. It seems to me, too, not fast ...
• Well, now you can just sit on the floor and not chill anything 😁. It's a joke, but this feeling of warmth, when you touch the Insulated floor, also warms the soul.

So the effect is definitely there.

I do not have special devices to make any more accurate and professional measurements, and subsequent conclusions. Everything is at the level of sensations.
