3 Best varieties of early ripe Cucumbers, for those who want to feast on a Healthy Vegetable before anyone else
Cucumbers are gentle, heat-loving plants that cannot be grown without special knowledge. However, today a huge number of varieties and hybrids of cucumbers have been created, which easily grow in any region of our country.
The most important thing, as my growing experience has shown, is to choose the right variety or hybrid and stick to the right planting method. In order to get an excellent harvest, I tried a huge number of varieties and hybrids and settled on a few that, in my opinion, are ideal for treats already in April-May.
In order to get an early harvest, I stick to planting seeds for seedlings. But at the same time, one must remember that the shoots of cucumbers are very tender, and do not tolerate temperature extremes.
They can burn easily and must therefore be protected from harmful UV radiation. They can simply fade if they are planted in unprepared soil, if they cannot withstand a certain temperature regime.
For this, it is best to use a greenhouse or greenhouse for growing cucumbers. Their cold resistance also increases due to the correct preparation of the seeds. To do this, I do the stabbing procedure - the seeds that have sprouted by wrapping them in a damp cloth and hiding them in the refrigerator for 10 hours.
Today we will consider the most ultra-early ripening varieties, which have a growing season of up to 40 days. It:
1. "Goosebump"
Parthenocarpic species, the name of which perfectly describes its external characteristics. The fruits are very short, tender, have a cylindrical shape, have a pleasant taste and aroma.
I collect up to 7 kg of cucumbers from each plant. The first ovary appears 40 days after disembarkation.
2. "Herman F1"
Perhaps this is the most popular variety, which is used both for cultivation in the open field and for greenhouses. He fell in love for its unique taste characteristics, as well as high yields.
But the main plus is that the plants give their first fruits after 40 days of planting.
3. "Ginga"
This is a bee-pollinated hybrid. Suitable for salads. The outer surface of the cucumber is smooth, yield up to 10 kg. Up to 10 kilograms can be collected from a square meter. The cucumbers are long, 20 cm long, but they have an excellent aroma. They are sweet, with an amazingly delicate taste.
It is these cucumbers that are among the very first to get on the table, and therefore I increase their number every year. The yield of this variety and its early ripening period attract more and more summer residents and professionals every year.
