Free portable grill
Before the New Year, our best friends invited us to a housewarming party. Of course, we knew what kind of gift the owner of a new house was dreaming about - a portable grill. Such, as we have seen before only in foreign films - in the form of a ball with a hinged lid, on wheels.
To buy such a miracle now is not a problem. Arriving at a hypermarket of goods for a country house, we saw several options for the required inventory. It is impossible to say that the prices were exorbitant. Not cheap, of course, but perhaps not even enough for a housewarming gift.
I liked the other option better - with a roof, a stand where you can put dishes, on good wheels.
But since we were not sure if our friend would like him, we did not risk it and took exactly what he wanted - the Russell spherical charcoal grill.
It looks like a grill, of course, but a grill is not really a grill. This device allows you to fry, smoke and do some other things that the grill is not capable of doing.
In addition to the actual grill body with grates and on wheels, a starter is sold. This starter heats up the coal. As it turned out, special charcoal is needed for grilling, in briquettes. Therefore, we had to buy a good supply of coal, and the gift was quite worthy for the price.
The grill looks, of course, beautiful - new, shiny. Although the leg system is rather flimsy in my opinion. But we got it. Moreover, around us, when we were buying, and the consultant was explaining how to use the starter and other things, a rather large group of curious people gathered. They asked questions, but no one dared to buy. Of course, it is easier to fry meat "on bricks" or on a simple steel grill.
Although in the store the charcoal grill is a little cheaper than the grill we bought.
Well, let's hope that now a friend will delight us with culinary delights from the new grill. He loves meat very much, moreover, he takes even the most exotic somewhere - he treated us, for example, to bear and ostrich meat. We will wait for new taste sensations.
Do you think such a grill is needed, or is it a waste of money?
