Clay

Many add clay to the soil when they prepare it themselves for future planting of seedlings. This is a pretty gross mistake in gardening, as clay itself is very heavy. A root system that is just forming on seedlings will not be able to properly strengthen.

Manure

This fertilizer is completely inappropriate for seedlings. First of all, using fresh manure can damage crops. So, pathogens, grass seeds or pest larvae can survive in it.

Tea

Many people choose not to throw away the tea leaves, and also use it as a fertilizer. The train of thought is partly correct, but this applies to already matured and formed plants. It is best not to use tea bags for seedlings, as tea leaves can become a breeding ground for fungal diseases.

Sawdust

On the one hand, sawdust is considered an excellent drainage system for seedlings. In addition, according to their chemical composition, they are quite rich in trace elements. However, if you plant seedlings in such a soil, then soon the sawdust will stop feeding the crops and the reverse process will begin. To avoid this, the seedlings should be transplanted into a different soil, but without sawdust.

Styrofoam

A similar situation with drainage for seedlings as foam. Please note that there should be absolutely no artificial components when growing seedlings, since this will only harm the culture and you will not get the desired result.
