What premises is this coating suitable for?

The sand effect paint is suitable for any indoor heated area. This coating is not afraid of moisture and can be used in the kitchen and in the bathroom. A variety of textures and patterns can be applied to the coating.

Over time, wall decoration with textured paint "like sand" does not lose its presentable appearance and almost does not accumulate dirt. It is easy to care for it - it is enough to regularly wet the coating.

What is needed for this

Necessary materials:

• primer Betonokontakt;
• tinted primer paint;
• decorative paint with sand effect.

Tools:

• painting fur or thread roller;
• flat paint brush;
• tray for paint.

How to create a textured finish

The wall should be prepared in the same way as for wallpapering. First, the base must be primed with Concrete Contact. This can be done either with a brush or with a roller. The number of layers depends on the absorbency of the material. If there are dry spots, you need to apply another layer of primer.

Priming is a mandatory procedure. The primer cleans the surface from dust, strengthens the base, improves the adhesion of the coated surface.

When the primer is dry, apply a preliminary coat of tinted primer with a roller. It is usually sold complete with textured paint. The color of this paint must match 100% of the textured finish. After application, wait until the pre-coat is completely dry.

Next, you need to apply a finishing layer - textured paint with sand. This should be done with a roller, and after that, immediately form a coating pattern with a brush.

It is best to carry out this operation in stages - 1 m2 each: apply textured paint to this area with a roller and give the necessary pattern with a brush. Drawing means to disperse the sand in a certain way: waves, herringbone, circles, strokes, or in any other way.

Before carrying out work, be sure to read the instructions for the primer and paint! Some formulations require dilution with water.
