How to get rid of aphids and save seedlings?

But even on other windowsills, it is advisable to treat the flowers in pots with a special aphid remedy for preventive purposes. You can simply rinse the leaves with soapy water and then rinse with clean water.

Secondly, rinse the window sill and the window with clean water and wipe dry. Curtains should be washed and ironed. If it is not possible to carry out a wash, then you can at least vacuum them. Cleaning the room is also relevant, especially if there are carpets.

It is best to buy soil for planting in a specialized store. In this case, there is a better chance of avoiding the emergence of aphids from the soil. When sprouts appear, you must carefully examine them for the presence of aphids. Especially carefully you need to consider the underside of the leaves.

If all the preventive measures did not help and the aphids still appeared on your seedlings, then you should start preparing the solution.
Method of preparation: for 1 liter of warm water, take 1 clove of garlic, which we finely chop or press on a garlic press. Mix everything thoroughly and cover with a lid.

The infusion should stand for at least a day. Then the agent must be filtered and sprayed with the seedlings. If there are a lot of aphids, then you can even lubricate the lower part of the leaves with a soft brush.

Also effective is the use of wood ash, which just needs to be sprayed onto the soil.
