Warm plaster has thermal insulation properties. They managed to achieve such characteristics by replacing sand with special ones. additives. Plaster is distinguished by the type of additives.

Expanded polystyrene. Additive in the form of weightless foam balls. The balls are filled with air. Pros: plaster absorbs little water and is affordable for many. Cons: medium strength, additional finishing is required, the flammability of the filler (group G1).

Sawdust. Sawdust, paper or clay are added to the mixture during manufacture. This type of plaster is suitable only for interior work. Pros: good sound and thermal insulation properties, environmental friendliness. When the layer of plaster dries, you need to take care of ventilation, otherwise mold will form. Another disadvantage: the material is heavier and dries for a long time (about 2 weeks).

Expanded vermiculite and perlite. Rock materials are crushed and burned. The result is porous granules. Pros: environmental friendliness, is a natural antiseptic, not expensive at a price. Suitable for the facade, provides protection from wind, temperature extremes, freezing.

Only 2 cm. in terms of thermal insulation, such a mixture is equal to brickwork with a thickness of 15 cm. This plaster is sold in the form of a dry mixture in bags of 12 - 30 kg. Bag 30 kg. costs within 300 rubles. Consumption for outdoor work (up to 25 kg / m2), for indoor (10-18 kg / m2). Warm plaster is 4 times lighter than conventional plaster. If you make plaster with a layer of 10 cm or more, then it may well replace mineral wool or EPS. But if you count on the money, it will cost more. It is much easier to use conventional insulation. This is the main disadvantage.

However, this does not mean that warm plaster is useless. It will perfectly complement the insulation of the house. Plaster 5 cm. together with insulation in severe frost will prevent the walls from freezing.

Warm plaster is perfect for insulating slopes (window or door), as well as niches, ceilings, water supply systems, sewage systems, and other elements of the house.
