I found the most powerful magnetic corner for welding, showing what kind of load it can withstand

This year I have planned to put a new fence on my site, make a large shed and several greenhouses. The volume of welding work will be quite large, besides, I will have to do all this in one hand, and I thought about buying powerful magnetic holders in order to greatly simplify my task. I already have a few corners, but they are weak and intended for small work. That's why I am decided to find the most powerful magnetic squareswho will accurately cope with the task.

After a long search in online construction stores, my attention was attracted by magnetic holder from Forceberg.

I found the most powerful magnetic corner for welding, showing what kind of load it can withstand

This magnetic holder received a whole bunch of positive reviews, and it was sold at a great discount, so I bought several of these corners at once.

First, I will say a few words about the characteristics of this magnetic corner, and at the end we will definitely test it and see what maximum load it can withstand.

The Forceberg magnetic square has quite impressive dimensions. It barely fits in my palm.

The mass of the square is almost a kilogram (952 g).

Its base is 112 mm long. The other two sides (forming an angle of 90 degrees) are 135 mm long. The square is 24 mm thick, which means that it is suitable for holding pipes with a width of at least 25 mm.

Last but not least, this magnetic square is designed to fix metal pipes at three angles: 135, 90 and 45 (this is enough for basic tasks).

Now let's finally test it.

To begin with, I'll take a square pipe 1.5 m long and we'll just see the strength of its adhesion. These few kilograms of metal are like a single piece with a square, and no matter how I shake it, the pipe remains in place.

Let's see if this holder can just as easily lift pipes weighing about 10 kg (for example, I took five square pipes 1.5 m long).

And the magnetic square copes with this task without any problems.

Well, it's time to test the maximum load that this square can withstand. and here I need an electronic scale.

And so, I fixed the pipe and now with the help of weights we find out the maximum load in kilograms. Watch a short video below.

As you saw the magnetic square can hold almost 25 kg (perhaps, if the force is applied more evenly, then this value will be higher)! Although we got a value lower than the manufacturer indicated, even these figures are very impressive.
