Mini tool stand for home workshop
In an apartment, not everyone has the opportunity to walk to the fullest and equip a spacious workshop, therefore, in order to conveniently place a construction tool, sometimes you have to use mini-stands. This article is just about how to make such a thing and add a little to a pile of iron.
To create the stand, I used a plywood shelf from an old cabinet. She served as the basis. In its upper part there is a place for screwdrivers. To store them conveniently, I decided to attach a piece of PVC pipe across the plywood.
On the farm there were cuttings of the 32nd heating pipe, which is metallized inside. At first I did not attach any importance to this, but then I realized that thanks to the metal, the pipe does not bend inward due to the longitudinal cut and keeps its shape well.
If the pipe were thinner, it would be inconvenient to store the screwdrivers, since their handles would rest against the plywood and protrude the pipe.
Under a row of screwdrivers, a place was provided for the most common tool: pliers, pliers, side cutters, etc. To do this, in the middle, I made a series of holes for dowel-nails 6x40mm.
It is worth taking a drill for dowels not 6 mm, but a little less - 5-5.5 mm, so that they fit tightly.
It is better to make the distances between the holes not standard, but to determine for a specific tool, so that it does not interfere with each other later.
The dowels were fixed with a carefully screwed in complete self-tapping screw-nail. They are recessed into plywood so that the necessary tool fits on the protruding leg with the fungus.
In the bottom row I left a place for keys. I decided to hang them on fasteners for PVC pipes of the 20th and 32nd diameters. The distance and size of the mounts were also chosen for separate keys.
After being installed in a small cabinet, the stand turned out to be just a godsend. Opened the door - the right tool is immediately visible. How the stand looks after filling can be seen in the picture below.
All the details of the work are shown in a short video. I would also appreciate your comments and suggestions for improvement. There is also an idea to make a similar stand, but for other instruments. Share ideas.
