Than I never fertilize Cucumbers. I do not advise you to do this, otherwise you will lose the whole Harvest

My disappointment at the time of the ripening of the harvest of cucumbers was limitless. Probably all novice gardeners, and sometimes experienced ones, are familiar with this offensive feeling when the expectations of the harvest turned out to be futile, despite caring for the beds and regular watering and feeding.

Several years have passed since then, and now I know for sure what can not be fertilized with cucumbers, because you can lose the entire crop.

My sad experience began with the application ammonia. It would seem - a universal remedy for feeding, and for fighting diseases, pests... Indeed, ammonia is great for other vegetable crops, but not for cucumbers.

By stimulating rapid growth immediately so that the eye is pleased with the abundant flowering and the number of ovaries, the planting quickly depletes and fades away. It is no longer possible to fix this, the peculiarity of the root system of cucumbers is that it is not deep, in the upper layer of the soil, and the plant can no longer compensate for the deficiency of nutrients.

And those cucumbers that managed to grow were deprived of their fabulous aroma and turned out to be tough.

For the same reason, due to the high content of ammonia, it is absolutely not suitable for cucumbers. horse dung - he can ruin the whole garden in general.

My second mistake was that when pinching the tomatoes growing in the neighborhood cut twigs I threw it into the garden with cucumbers - after all, they are so juicy and quickly rot, it is logical to assume that they will become a good fertilizer.

But no, the rotting of stepchildren occurs according to this type, which reduces immunity in cucumbers and provokes a number of diseases. And in general, if possible, then close proximity of cucumbers with tomatoes should be avoided.

The desire to protect the roots from pests encourages gardeners to cultivate the soil iodine solution - just 1 drop in a bucket of water! And this drop is enough to make the cucumbers bitter. The use of iodine also becomes a fatal mistake for the entire crop of crispy vegetables, and they can only be canned.

Summing up my bitter experience, I want to advise novice gardeners to give up feeding:

1. A solution of ammonia.

2. Iodine solution. To repel pests, you can put it on the garden bed in a bowl, but do not put it into the soil or spray the plants.

3. Horse manure. It can only be applied to the soil in the fall.

4. Do not throw sprigs from tomato bushes onto the cucumber patch. A good green manure can be made from common weeds without using nightshades.

By observing these restrictions, you can preserve the harvest of everyone's favorite pimpled vegetable without experiencing disappointment.
