"If they live by the sea, they swim every day" - What really is
There are several misconceptions about the people who live by the sea from mainland residents. First, they think that if the sea is close, the locals often visit it. And second, it's good to have a house by the sea. This is not the case, let's explain why.
Why rarely swim in the sea
Now we will talk specifically about Crimea, we live near the Sea of Azov, over the summer I manage to swim there three times, and these are mostly random outings. I asked my friends, and most of them have such a situation, the exceptions are responsible mothers who take their children out to splash. Why is that?
The fact is that summer is a working season, construction and other orders begin at the foremen. What can we say about the service sector and tourism, there was just a rush, vacationers arrived and the heat began. But the main reason is accessibility, you know that at any moment you can drive up and take a dip, the sea is nearby, you always have time, the moment is delayed, and the summer passes.
A house by the sea in summer and winter are not the same
I had to maintain communication lines in three settlements on the seashore, in winter it was torment. It's always colder on the coast, an icy wind is blowing, often with sea spray, trying to blow you off the support. And since the drops are salty, then the metal oxidizes very quickly, including in the courtyards of coastal residents. It also takes a lot of effort to heat the house because of the wind.
